16. Gonatopus polli (Benoit, 1951)

Gonatopus polli (Benoit): Olmi & van Harten 2000: 265; Olmi 2006: 45. Description. ♀ (Figs 177A, B). Apterous; body length 3.0– 3.6 mm. Completely yellow-reddish, except petiole black. Head excavated, shiny, slightly granulate, with frons unsculptured. Palpal formula 4/2. Pronotum shiny, granulate, crossed by strong transverse impression. Mesoscutum and mesoscutellum granulate. Mesoscutum without lateral pointed apophyses (Fig. 177A). Metanotum with sides rounded (Fig. 177A), about coplanar to mesoscutellum (Fig. 177B). Metapectal-propodeal disc granulate, with track of median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete. Mesopleuron and metapleuron not transversely striate; occasionally striate. In specimen from Niger, Tarna goulbin, body almost completely unsculptured, except transverse striae on propodeal declivity and pleuron. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 13:2:4:11:18. Enlarged claw (Fig. 176B) with one large subapical tooth and one row of 4–5 lamellae. Protarsomere 5 (Fig. 176B) with two rows of 20–37 lamellae extending continuously to apex. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
