1. Schizopyga circulator Panzer, 1800

Ichneumon circulator Panzer 1800: 12 + Plate [holotype ♀ (destroyed), Germany].

Synonyms:

Schizopyga analis Gravenhorst, 1829 (Bridgman 1886: 373).

Schizopyga circulatrix Schulz, 1906 (unjustified emendation).

Holarctic species with three subspecies: two are Palaearctic and one, S. circulator pulchra, is distributed in the Nearctic and Eastern Palaearctic regions. The Nearctic subspecies is recorded here from Mexico for the first time. This is also the first record of the genus Schizopyga from this country.

Reared from sub-adult and adult spiders of the genus Clubiona Latreille ( Clubionidae) in Europe (Fitton et al. 1987: 72).
