Lichnofugia Ingrisch, 1998: 38 . Type species: Lichnofugia cornuta Ingrisch

Diagnosis. Species of the genus are characterised by the strongly elongate and slender body; the face is shallowly punctated but shining and orange red or black; the pronotum is rounded from the disc into the paranota with the paranota being much longer than high; the prosternum is mute, meso- and metasternal lobes are apically rounded; the wing condition is micropterous (male) or squamipterous (female), the male cerci carry two, normally modified internal teeth; the male phallus carries a pair of titillators that are normally fused in basal area; the female ovipositor is long sword-shaped, moderately curved. Colouration of the alive insect is often light ochre brown with some greenish marks.
