Locusta migratoria Linnaeus, 1758
Migrating swarms of this species were last observed in the territory of the CR at the beginning of the 19th century. During the 20th century, only several single individuals were recorded. It is possible, after an occurrence of a mass outbreak in Romania or Hungary, that a swarm could reach the CR. Under suitable conditions, an ephemeral population could possibly arise in southern Moravia or central Bohemia. At present, it is evaluated as regionally extinct (HoluĊĦa 2012).
