Estheria cinerella Mesnil, 1967: 55 . Tajikstan (Type locality: Dushanbe). Holotype ♂ (ZIN) not examined. References: Herting (1984: 142; catalog); Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 363; Palearctic catalog).
Diagnosis. From the original description. Thoracic scutum of this species with 4 presutural and 4 postsutural dorsocentral setae; veins R 4+5 and M merged to form a petiole which is longer than crossvein r-m; abdominal tergites 3 and 4 respectively with 4 and 2 median discal setae. Body length 8.0 mm.
Distribution. Tajikstan.
Remarks. This species appears to be similar to E. cristata (Meigen), but differs in having a short first flagellomere, 4 presutural and 4 postsutural dorsocentral setae, three strongest postpronotal setae nearly arranged in a triangle, and cell r 4+5 with a long petiole.
