This species occurs in several countries across central Africa. Lonchaea arrogata belongs to the Lonchaea impressifrons Bezzi, 1920 species-group within which species can only be identified by examination of the male genitalia.
Lonchaea enderleini McAlpine, 1960: secondary homonym of L. caerulea Walker (1849: 1004) .

Previously known from Cameroon and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Lonchaea togoensis (Enderlein, 1927): ( Mastigimas). Bismarckburg, 1890’s, 1♀. Only known from Togo from the 1890’s record (Enderlein, 1927) but also more recently recorded from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ivory Coast.
