Dadaya macrops (Daday, 1898) (Figs. 4 A–C)
Material examined. 10 specimens, collection number CINCAA 0052
Remarks. Described from the material from the Sri Lanka region by Daday (1898) as Alona macrops Sars (1901) named the genus Dadaya Sars, 1901 . The genus is monospecific and Dadaya ocellata Bergamin (1931) is still considered synonymous with D. macrops (Smirnov 1974; Elmoor-Loureiro 1997). This suggestion still needs investigation involving the analysis of populations from different regions of the world (Elmoor-Loureiro 2010). The most striking morphological trait of the species is the oval body with a markedly large ocellus, pointed rostrum and a single cephalic pore (Fig. 4B) (Smirnov 1996; Elmoor-Loureiro 2000).
