Distribution. CHINA: Beijing (no further data), Heilongjiang (no further data), Neimenggu (Baotou, Bayannur, Dongsheng, Eastern Urad, Hohhot, Jungar, Qahar, Tomortei, Shangdu, Wuhai, Wushen), Qinghai (no further data), Xinjiang (Ürümqi); Palaearctic Region.

Remarks. In spite of numerous records from China, we have not been able to locate and study any material. While the presence of this species in China would seem beyond doubt considering that the type locality is in the Gobi Desert, shared between China and Mongolia, it is likely that some records could be misidentifications of the morphologically similar species A. japonica (see Remarks under that species).
