Remarks. Chao & Zhang (1988) described Wohlfahrtiodes mongolicus as new to science and recorded the genus Wohlfahrtiodes as new to China based on this record. Zhang et al. (2015) revised Wohlfahrtiodes mongolicus and proposed it as a new junior synonym of Asiosarcophila kaszabi, thereby annulling the generic record of Chao & Zhang (1988). The current material therefore represents a first record for China both for the genus Wohlfahrtiodes and for the species W. marzinowskyi . A regrettable mishandling during shipment led to some damage to the antennae and tarsi of the only male specimen.
