Distribution. China (Fujian, Hainan), India.
Host plants. Rhus sp. ( Anacardiaceae), Helicia hainanensis (Proteaceae), Castanea sp. ( Fagaceae) and Meliaceae .
Comments. Here newly recorded from China, the specimens have been identified using the keys given by Ghosh (1974) and Ghosh & Agarwala (1993). They appear conspecific with M. (Me.) rhusae Ghosh, although some biometric data are slightly different. For example, antennae slightly longer, 1.46–1.74 mm long (1.26- 1.65 mm long from India); siphunculi 1.25-1.59 mm long (1.06-1.40 mm long from India).
