Genus Halichoanolaimus De Man, 1886
(= Smalsundia Allgen, 1929)
Diagnosis (emended from Tchesunov, 2014). Choniolaiminae. Lateral dots of cuticle bigger and more widely separated than dorsal and ventral ones. All anterior sensilla papilloid. Cervical setae not evident. Three transverse sets of denticles between anterior and posterior stoma chambers. No posterior pharyngeal bulb. Adult stages, at least, devoid of rectum and anus, i.e., intestine blind. Pre-cloacal supplementary organs papilloid or setose. Tail elongate with distal cylindrical or filiform portion.
