Distribution. The nominate subspecies is widely distributed in West Africa (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon) (Durante 2009; 2012). Long series of recently collected specimens from Sierra Leone and Liberia were found in the collection of ANHRT representing new distribution data of the species.
