Taxonomy. Theshapeandcolourationoftheforewingareverysimilar to those of N. fuscicosta (Hampson, 1891) and also similar to those of N. acolutha Holloway, 2008 and N. lancanga DengetHan, 2011 but, accordingtothe malegenitalia, N. vicina isamemberofadistinctlineagerathercloserto N. glauculalis .

Description. Wingspan 19–21 mm, lengthofforewing 9–10 mm. Themaleantenna lessspecialised, moreorlessfiliformwithshortfasciculateciliaandflatdorsalscales; femaleantennafiliform, verysparselyciliate. Dorsalscale-hoodochreous- brown, moreor lessroundedtriangular, coveringmostpartsofvertex. Ocelliverysmall, black. Malegenitalia (Fig. 4). Uncuslong, curvedatitsbase. Scaphiummuchshorterthan uncus, curvedagainstit. Tegumenlongerthanvinculum. Saccusnarrow, relativelyshort, itstiprounded. Juxtalarge, rounded, isodiametric. Valvalong, tapering. Costaconvex, well developed, strong, itstipacutelypointed, extendingintocucullusandfusedwithitsdorsal part. Diagnosis. Thewingpatternof N. vicina isconfusinglysimilartothatof N. fuscicosta, althoughthefiliformantennaof N. vicina andtheconspicuously pectinateantennaof N. fuscicosta caneasilydistinguishthemales. Naardalancanga hasalsoverysimilarpattern, butlacksthedarkareaclosetodorsum, whichispresentin N. vicina . Moreover, theinnermostfasciaonthehindwing of N. vicina issinuous, whilein N. lancanga itisratherstraight. Thenewspeciesdiffersexternallyfrom N. acolutha bytheabsenceofthedarkfieldatposteriorsectionoftermen, andbytheconspicuouslylighterterminalfieldofthe hindwing.

Themalegenitaliaarerathersimilartothoseof N. glauculalis (Fig. 11) but thenewspecieshasthescaphiumshorter, thejuxtabigger, thesaccuslonger, thevalvalongerwithmuchmoreacutetip, thedistalpartofcostaslightlyless developed, thesacculusbroaderandshorter, withprominentdistalsetose field, andtheaedeagusisthickerandstraighterthanin N. glauculalis .

Thefemalegenitaliaof N. vicina, incomparisonwiththoseof N. barlowi Holloway, 2008 (Fig. 24) haveshorterapophyses, shorterandmuchnarrower ductusbursae, andmuchsmallercorpusbursae.
