Distribution: —N Pakistan, Jammu & Kashmir, U Ganga & Indus, W Nepal, U Yarlung Zangbo, M Yarlung Zangbo, Tangut, S Hengduan, N Hengduan.
Note: — Epilobium tibetanum is similar to E. cylindricum in overall morphology. Chen et al. (1992) recognized that they are similar and are difficult to distinguish without seeds. However, they have concluded that it is best to maintain them as two distinct species. We have seen photo of the lectotype of E. tibetanum in BM (BM000944622).
