= Epilobium christii Léveillé (1910b: 19) .

Type:—“Himalaya” (not located).

Distribution: —N Pakistan, Jammu & Kashmir, U Ganga & Indus, C Nepal, Sikkim & Darjiling, Bhutan, U Yarlung Zangbo, L Yarlung Zangbo, S Hengduan, N Hengduan.

Note: — Epilobium cylindricum is close to E. royleanum Haussknecht (1879: 55), and can be distinguished by its taller stem and distinctive capitate stigma. E. cylindricum, E. tibetanum Haussknecht (1879: 53), E. sinense Léveillé (1907: 590), and E. platystigmatosum Robinson (1908: 210) form a complex group in the Pan-Himalaya region (Chen et al. 1992).

Although Chen et al. (1992) noted that the “ holotype ” of Epilobium beauverdianum (Soulie 449) is deposited in G, we are not sure the status of this specimen. We only saw a photo of Soulie 449 in BM (BM000944621) which is from the specimen in G with a “Type” label written by P. H. Raven in 1960. According to Art. 9.1, we do not determine the type status of E. beauverdianum in this paper.
