Type:— CHINA. Xizang: Lhunze, Chayal Dzong, approximately 28°18’N, 92°48’E, in pastures, amongst thickets of Hippophae, 3350 m, 22 September 1935, Kingdon-Ward 12372 (holotype BM000957926!) .

Distribution: —M Yarlung Zangbo.

Note: —This species is similar to Epilobium williamsii, but be distinguished by its larger seeds and smaller stature.
