Subgenus Jaynesia Allen, 1969

Type species: Tiphia communis Allen & Jaynes, 1930 .

Diagnosis. Anterior carina of pronotum complete and strong (Figs 5, 15, 25); in male, marginal cell of forewing as extended as second submarginal cell (Figs 12, 22), S5 (Figs 20, 29) with lateral denticle; in female, metabasitarsomere without groove; T1 anteriorly without transverse carina, T1 with subposterior margin extending and more or less covering subapical puncture groove in lateral view (Figs 9, 18, 27) (Allen 1969; Tsuneki 1985, 1986a).
