Distribution. Xantholinus linearis is known from Russia, Europe, North Africa, Madeira, Azores, Turkey, Georgia, Iran and Kazakhstan (Herman 2001). This species is introduced in Canada and USA (Smetana 1982), New Zealand (Bordoni 2005) and Venezuela (Herman 2001).
