Lecithocera binotata Meyrick, 1918: 24 . TL: Umkomaas, South Africa.
Diagnosis. Wingspan 11 mm. This species is characterized by the well-developed stigmata in discal cell and with rounded apex of the forewing. The male genitalia are characterized by the gently arched ventral margin of valva (Fig. 14a) and the prominent long hair-pencil developed in the segment V. (Fig. 14b).

Distribution. South Africa, Cameroon.
Remarks. Janse (1954) reported this species from South Africa, based on additional male specimens.
