Monoscleroblatta, subgen. nov.
Etymology. The name of the subgenus refers to a singular (unpleated) scale sclerite in the male genitalia.
Type species. Hololampra abdelazizi Bolívar, 1908

Distribution. Western Morocco, including the Rif mountains and the area west of the Atlas (Fig. 28).
Diagnosis. Male characterized by the mid-length tegmina slightly surpassing the metanotum and the singular, unpleated scale sclerite of the genitalia; female characterized by the genitalia having huge triangular spermathecal plates surpassing by far the mesally fused dorsal basivalvular sclerites; Discleroblatta has similarly large spermathecal plates, but separate dorsal basivalvular sclerites.
