Host. Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say) (Pintureau et al. 1999) .

Distribution. NEOTROPICAL: Chile.

Note. The information provided by Pintureau et al. (1999) is ambigous. They mention Bruchus pisorum L. in Pisum sativum L. as the primary host of U. chilensis, but in Materials and Methods they explain that Uscana species were reared from A. obtectus (Say) .
