Munida sanctipauli Henderson, 1885

Munida sanctipauli has been reported from Brazil to the Gulf of Mexico to Morocco in depths of 18 to 2360 m (Henderson 1885; Chace 1942; de Saint Laurent 1985; de Melo-Filho & de Melo 2001b). Only three females were measured for M. sanctipauli . There were two non-ovigerous females (CW = 12.3 mm; the other female was damaged) and a single ovigerous female (CW = 16.4 mm, 1835 eggs, average egg diameter was 0.41 mm). All were collected in the Gulf of Mexico in August from 550 m depth.
