Habitat. Marine intertidal zone inhabiting coarse and medium sand, 5–10 cm below surface between low and half tide levels.
Distribution. India (Bay of Bengal).
Remarks. A recent key to species of the genus Cephalodasys is available from Kieneke et al. (2015).

Habitats (as in Indian records). Marine, Intertidal; coarse medium sand, 10–15 cm below surface, between low and mid-water levels.
Distribution. North Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, India.
Remarks. Descriptions of the specimens from India are incomplete as they lack references to the frontal organ and to male pore in the studied specimens. This lack data weakens the specific identification of the Indian specimens.
