Habitat. Marine, littoral; medium sand, 10–30 cm below surface near mid-water level.

Distribution. This species has been reported only from India (Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea).

Remarks. Nomenclature and functional role of the accessory reproductive organs as indicated for the Indian specimens should be revised in light of the recent literature (e.g., Kieneke & Schmidt-Rhaesa 2015).
