Aleurodothrips Franklin

Only one species is known in the genus, A. fasciapennis (Franklin) . This is an obligate predator of scale insects (Palmer & Mound 1990), and is recorded from many plants throughout the tropics and subtropics (Okajima 2006). The species is reported from Iran on the basis of one male collected on grape (Mirab-balou & Chen 2012).
