Margarinotus obscurus (Kugelann, 1792)
Distributed in Europe, northern Africa, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, Iran and China.
Introduced to the western US and Canada. Not very common in Poland, recorded in the Sudetes and Beskids (Burakowski et al. 1978).
Caught only in the Western Beskids: Beskid Sądecki (Gołkowice Dolne, 317 m a.s.l.).
