Key to the Afrotropical species of Thevenetimyia Bigot
1. Body length just over 6 mm (Fig. 2); terminal antennal segment with blunt apex (Fig. 3); thorax and dorsal area of occiput without golden or brown setae; scutellum with abundant spine-like tubercles (Fig. 4A and 4 B); medial crossvein curving gradually to meet posterior intercalary vein at an acute angle; M1 vein about six times the length of anterior intercalary vein (Fig 5)....................................................................
