Diagnosis. FEMALE. body covered with distinct setae, propodeum with dense appressed pubescence, first metasomal sternum with numerous distinct setae; gena wide and with a distinct margin; pronotal carina stronger than the nominotypical subspecies; first metasomal tergum slightly shorter, ca. 1.0X longer than mesopleuron height; gena normally yellow; clypeus with yellow marks but centrally black. MALE. According to Richards (1978), gena is narrower and clypeus more widely yellow.
