Type species: Eopilidion misakiense sp. nov., fixed by original designation.

Diagnosis: At the moment, the same as for the family.

Etymology: The new genus name is neuter in gender, from the Greek ἠώς (eos, ‘dawn’) and πιλίδιον (pilidion, ‘small hat’).
