Type locality: Corupá, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “Corupá, SC [Santa Catarina] | Brazil. III.1956 | A. Mahler col.”; (2) printed on red paper: “HOLOTIPO”; (3) handwritten on white paper: “ Eumydas | corupas | N.g. & n. sp. ɗ”.

Preservation: Pinned; both antennae glued at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; genitalia on plastic vial pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: right leg II.

Paratype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “Corupá, SC [Santa Catarina] | Brazil | II.1952 | A. Mahler col.”; (2) handwritten on white paper: “ Eumydas | corupas | Ng. nsp. Ψ” (3) printed on red paper: “PARATIPO”.

Preservation: Pinned; left legs II and III, glued at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; Missing parts: last tarsomere of left leg II and last tarsomere of right leg I.
