The male imago is described in Saether (1977a: 98).

Type material. Holotype male, CANADA: Manitoba, Lake Winnipeg, McBeth Harbour, 50 0 08’N, 97 0 30’W, 30.vii.1969, S.S.Chang (CNC No. 14021).

Distribution. The species is known only from Lake Winnipeg.
