Type locality: Sahara, Tidikelt: In Salah [Algeria] .

Current status: Unavailable, published as infrasubspecific after 1960 (ICZN 1999, Art. 15.2).

Remarks: Dispons (1961) listed only one specimen of this variety; it is to be treated as the holotype (ICZN 1999, Art. 73.1.2). The specimen was listed by Putshkov & Pluot-Sigwalt (2008: 182).
