Diplocladus ebureofasciatus Gerstmeier & Weiss, n. sp.

Specimens examined:

Holotype: 3. Coll. Mus. Tervuren, Côte d’ivoire: Bingerville, X.1962, J. Decelle, Diplocladus sp. (MRAC). Paratype: Coll. Mus. Tervuren, Côte d’ivoire: Bingerville, X.1963, J. Decelle (1 Ƥ, CRG).

Length: 17.8mm – 18.2mm (2 specimens).

Head: Black; finely punctate.

Antennae: Black, almost reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside. Pronotum: Black; lateral regions and base dark reddish brown; anterior half subparallel, conspicuously constricted towards base; anterior margin to transverse depression wrinkled, coarsely wrinkled behind transverse depression; length:width ratio 1.52:1.

Scutellum: Black.

Elytra: Basal third reddish brown, remainder black, each elytron with a transverse ivory fascia beyond middle spanning from lateral to sutural margins; diameter of punctures larger than interstices, punctures within fasciae small and sparsely distributed, punctures elongate behind fasciae; length:width ratio 2.31:1. Legs: Black.

Lower surface: Head black, thorax and abdomen red-brown to black-red. Vestiture: Head with whitish hairs, pronotal margins vested with white hairs, disc of pronotum and elytra with white to reddish hairs, lower surface with white hairs.

Distribution: Ivory Coast.

Etymology: Named after the ivory-coloured transverse elytral fasciae.
