Type locality. Peru, Iquitos, Nauta

Type material. Holotype: Peru, Loreto, Iquitos, route de Nauta, 9km, Chasse Jour, 1 male, 27.viii.1985, L. Desutter (MNHN-EO-ENSIF7193) . Paratypes, 2 males, 2 female: Same data as the holotype, 2 males, 30.viii.1985 (MNHN-EO-ENSIF6999, 7194) and 1 female, 24.viii.1985 (MNHN-EO-ENSIF6997).

Distribution. Species currently known from its type locality.

Etymology. Species named after the type locality.

Diagnosis. In addition to characters of the genus: Species overall shinning yellowish brown in color. Male. Stridulatory file with 150 number of teeth (n=1). Male genitalia: ectophallic arc with wide lateral apodeme, covering 2/3rd of the width of endophallic cavity (Fig. 2C). Female: Longitudinal yellow flakes on metanotum to 8th tergite (Fig. 1C). Female genitalia: Sclerotized and cup shaped, dorsally open and ventrally sclerotized (Fig. 2 D–E).

Description. In addition to above characters: Basitarsomeres with 4–6 inner and 6–8 outer dorsal spines.
