Camptocarpus longicollis (Motschulsky, 1860)

This species is widely distributed from Mexico to South America. In Mexico it is usually found in tropical areas in the states of Chiapas, Guerrero, Tabasco, Veracruz, and Yucatán (Gorham 1887; Martins and Pereira 1965). The Durango record (Martins and Pereira 1965) must be verified because that state does not exhibit known eco-geographical conditions of this species. The following specimen represents a new state record for Oaxaca: “ Mexico: Oaxaca, Bahia de Huatulco, 25-X-1987, L. fluoresc. 8:30 pm, Morón, Delgado, Ratcliffe cols.” (1♂, IEXA).
