Macrothops Boisduval, 1835 (not Macrothops Macleay, 1864).

Erected for five species ( Macrothops praeusta Boisduval, 1835; Macrothops rufipennis Boisduval, 1835; Macrothops australis Boisduval, 1835; Macrothops moesta Boisduval, 1835; Macrothops lottinii Boisduval, 1835) but no type species designated.
