Type species Brahmina calva Blanchard, 1851 (= Brahmina (Brahmina) cribricollis (Redtenbacher, 1844)), by subsequent designation of Bezděk (2016).

Note: Many authors have considered Melolontha cylindrica Gyllenhal, 1817 as the type species, but it was not included in the original description of the genus.
