Perla abdominalis Burmeister, 1839

It was reported from the Şəki-Zaqatala region (Katexçay River), under the name P. burmeisteriana Claassen, 1936 (Kasymov 1972) . It is not included in the recent monograph of the Caucasus (Cherchesova & Zhiltzova 2013), and noted only from the Carpathians in the monograph of the former Soviet Union (Teslenko & Zhiltzova 2009). Being an European species, occurrence in the Caucasian region is improbable (Sivec & Stark 2002), and must be omitted from the checklist of Azerbaijan.
