Arcynopteryx dichroa (McLachlan, 1872)

It was reported from the Şəki-Zaqatala region (Katexçay River), under the name A. compacta (McLachlan, 1872) (Kasymov 1972) . This is the only mention of the species from the Caucasian region, unreported by the relevant monographs (Cherchesova & Zhiltzova 2013, Teslenko & Zhiltzova 2009). Given its wide distribution in mountainous regions of the Holarctic, the presence of A. dichroa in the Caucasus is possible. However, the Azerbaijan specimen(s) has not been found, so its occurrence must be confirmed by new specimens.
