Occurrence. Scottburgh (South Africa), South coast of Oman . 8–10 m.
Taxonomic notes. Ferdina sadhensis is a rarely encountered species known primarily from the locality in Oman. Images from citizen scientists in South Africa (pers. comm. Georgina Jones) have revealed images of a species which closely corresponds to the paratype of F. sadhensis but no specimens from South Africa were examined. The individuals identified in Gosliner et al. (1996) and King & Fraser (2014) display the bare region in each interradius, identifying them as F. mena n. sp.
