Remarks: This species is previously known from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Saint Barthelemy and Venezuela. Measurements of the specimens collected are close to those of the holotype, reported by Schicha & Elshafie (1980), except that the calyx of the spermatheca is about 1.5 times as long, similar to what was reported by Gondim Jr. & Moraes (2001) for specimens from the State of São Paulo.
