TYPE LOCALITY: China, Gansu, N slope of the mountains of Xining, Guiduisha .
DISTRIBUTION: China: Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, and W Sichuan (Ma et al., 1987; Wang, 1990; and Zheng and Zhang, 1990); India; Kashmir; and N Pakistan.
SYNONYMS: flavus, leathemi, weigoldi (see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951).
COMMENTS: S. concolor has been reported from the Chinese provinces of Heilongjinag and Jilin (Yang et al., 1991); the relationship of these populations to S. caudata needs further study. Does not include S. armenica, S. caucasico, S. caudata, S. kazbegica, S. kluchorica, or S. tianshanica; see comments under respective species and under Sicista .
