8. Frisilia nesciatella Walker, 1864

Diagnosis. The species is characterized by the thick, dark fuscous antenna. The male is known for the first time.

Adult (Fig. 9, holotype). Wingspan, 10.0–11.0 mm.

Male genitalia (Figs. 40, 40 a). Valva with large, round median protrusion on ventral margin; distal part of valva thumb-like with round apex. Median lobe of juxta slightly bent, as long as 1/3 length of valva, heavily sclerotized. Aedeagus with a long bar-shaped cornutus, as long as 2/3 of aedeagus.

Female genitalia (GU-14054, holotype, deposited in BMNH). The genital slide of the holotype is poorly dissected and mounted, and not illustrated here.

Material examined. 1Ψ (holotype), 29/795-6, Sri Lanka, gen. prep. no. GU-14054, and six additional specimens including the holotype (♂) of F. basaliella Walker, 1864, in BMNH. 1♂, Anu Dist., Hunuwilagamma 200 ft, 28 X 1976; 1♂, 10–19 III 1970; 1?, Rat Dist., Uggalkatota 350 ft, 31 I – 8 II 1976, in USNM.

Distribution. Sri Lanka.
