Genus Frisilia Walker, 1864

Type: Frisilia nesciatella Walker, 1864 . TL: Sri Lanka.

= Tipasa Walker, 1864 . Type-species: Tipasa basaliella Walker, 1864 = Macrernis Meyrick, 1887.Type-species: Macrernis heliapta Meyrick, 1887

According to the male genital characteristics, the genus is divided into two species groups, the nesciatella group and the anniningensis group, according to the presence or the absence of a long median lobe of the juxta in the male genitalia. However, males of F. crossophaea Meyrick and F. homochlora Meyrick have not been found; therefore, those two species cannot be grouped in this review.
