Remarks.
Strand (1907e) indicated the type is deposited in Lübeck Museum. However, the former collections of the old museum were destroyed in 1942 during World War II (S. Füting, pers. comm.). Thus, the type is lost and Avicularia soratae Strand, 1907 is considered, herein, as nomen dubium.
The three species below were deposited in Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart (SMF). Its arachnological collection was destroyed in World War II and contained at least 169 types of Strand, 9 types of C. Koch and 3 types of Keyserling (Renner 1988). The names Avicularia fasciculata Strand, 1907, Avicularia fasciculata clara Strand, 1907 and Avicularia surinamensis Strand, 1907 are, herein, considered as nomina dubia.
