Heza Amyot & Serville, 1843

Heza was revised by Maldonado (1976, 1983), followed by further contributions summarized by Swanson (2021). This species-rich genus has a broad geographical distribution, its 43 described species are found from the USA to Argentina (Maldonado 1990, Swanson 2021). The only species of Heza that have been recorded from French Guiana are H. sericans Stål, 1859 (Villiers 1971) and H. maldonadoi Bérenger, 2007, the latter species described based on specimens collected in this country (Bérenger 2007). Three additional species are recorded here.
