Notocyrtus depressus Stål, 1872
(Fig. 34)
Both Stål (1872) and Carvalho & Costa (1993) described only the female of Notocyrtus depressus, based on a type specimen from Colombia deposited in NHRS. Following Carvalho & Costa (1993), the main diagnostic characteristics of N. depressus species are its general black color, large size and the transversal furrow on the pronotum. The specimen examined here (Fig. 34) is a female which matches well with the previous descriptions (Stål 1872, Carvalho & Costa 1993).
Distribution. Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana (new record).
Material examined. FRENCH GUIANA, Bélizon, xi.1997, leg. H. Gaspard, 1 female (MNRJ) .
