Distribution. Western Atlantic: USA (Florida), Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Barbados, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Venezuela (Rathbun 1925; Carmona-Suárez & Poupin 2016; Poupin 2018; present study).

Remarks. This is the first record of Pitho mirabilis for Barbados. Caught in crab traps placed on rocky and sandy bottoms (~ 4 m deep) on the west coast of Barbados. Ovigerous female collected in October 2019. This species is very abundant in Barbados. Pitho mirabilis can be identified by anterolateral teeth decreasing in size from anterior to posterior; arm of cheliped with small tubercles on the upper margin (Carmona-Suárez & Poupin 2016).
