Rathbun (1921, 1925) reported two species from the genus Macrocoeloma that were not collected during the present study, these are Macrocoeloma eutheca (Stimpson, 1871) and Macrocoeloma intermedium Rathbun, 1901 . Specimens of Macrocoeloma eutheca (one female, USNM 72901; one female, USNM 58010) were collected at depths of 0–126 m (0–70 fathoms). Additionally, one female specimen (USNM 72261) of Macrocoeloma intermedium was collected from Pelican Island at a depth of 36 m (20 fathoms).
