Distribution in Iran: Markazi (Ebrahimi 2014; Hadi et al. 2014), Semnan (Ebrahimi 2014), Sistan-o Baluchestan (de Beaumont 1970), Tehran (Dollfuss 2008b; Ebrahimi 1993, 2014).

General distribution: Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

Remarks: This species was first recorded as Sphex stschurowskii from Bampour (Kerman province— Gussakovskij 1933), which is a part of Sistan-o Baluchestan province.
